Hello again my friends.
We have been enjoying some beautiful crisp fall October mornings here in Georgia. Ahhh. My windows are open and the air is circulating through our home. I love the fall. Nothing like sleeping with your windows open and sleeping on a cool pillow.
Sorry I have not posted in a while. We have been busy with work and school in our house during the week and enjoying each others company on the weekends. I am going to share a card I made for 2 of my very special girlfriends for their Birthdays. The oriental screen I made using my rectangle nestabilities, velum and black cardstock. My stamped image is one of my Magnolia-licious stamps. Isn't she adorable. I have colored her using my copics and accented her with a bit of stickles. The card is accented with paper flowers, ribbon and black bling. I hope you enjoy her.
Until next time,
Karen

Busy Day
Hello again my friends.
Well today is certainly going to be a busy one. I have laundry to do cards to make for my "Sweet Georgia Stampers" group for our gathering on Sunday and many chores to complete. Sweet Georgia Stampers is a wonderful group that I belong to. This is a group of about 12 women who meet once a month. We learn different techniques, swap cards we have all made using our monthly theme and swap ATC's. ATC stands for "Artist Trading Card". These are cards that are the size of baseball, hockey etc. cards (2 1/2 " X 3 1/2 "). They truly are little pieces of art. We use our imaginations and our creative talents to make them look fabulous.
I wanted to share a card with you that I made for my sister/best friend last week. She came to Georgia to visit for 6 days. 4 of those 6 days were spent together in Alabama on a Scrapbook Retreat at "Grand Oak Retreat". All I have to say is AMAZING. I left this card on my sisters bed with some card making goodies. Card making goodies make us smile. I used copic markers to color and stickles to add a bit a sparkle.
I hope you enjoy.
Until next time,
Karen

One day off
Hello again.
Well after working 3 busy nights I am glad to say I have one night off. This time last week I was on a Scrapbook Retreat with my best friend/sister. We had such a wonderful time. How wonderful it was to be away with so many of my dear friends. Some made cards http://www.creativecure.blogspot.com/, some scrapbooked and one brought her sewing machine and completed some amazing projectshttp://www.sugahbeez.blogspot.com/. I made some cards and made several card holders which I am posting photos of. This project will hold your cards whether it be for someone's Birthday, Anniversary, Get Well, Sympathy or any other occasion. Each page has a pocket with the month at the bottom so you are able to keep track of the cards you wish to send out for that particular month. Just place all your cards in the month desired and you will stay organized for the whole year. Amazing eh!!!
Until next time,
Karen

Crisp Fall Air
Good morning my friends.
Well I would have to say that the crisp fall air is finally here. Driving my son to school this morning was very pleasant. I just love the fall. Watching the leaves change color on the trees and being able to sleep with our windows open. Ahhh. I have made a new card for the fall. I used my stamps and nestabilities from "Heartfelt Creations". I love this company. I embossed my background leaf stamp and individual leaves with copper embossing powder. I prefer to use Zing embossing powder. For coloring the leaves on my card I used Brilliance stamp pads and a sponge dauber in Poppy, Crimson Copper, Rust, and Yellow. For my greens I used Olive Pastel and Dark Moss chalk ink. The tag was stamped with a Stampin Up stamp set called "Tiny Tags" and punched out with a Martha Stewart punch I bought at Michael's.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
